We have over 50 members who live in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, primarily in Oakland and Berkeley and the surrounding communities. Some of our members work outside the home part or full-time, while others stay at home. Many of our members are first time parents, although several have two or more children.
We meet every Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. as well as other times and days in response to the needs of our members. A typical outing might be a 90 minute hike in an East Bay Regional Park followed by a picnic lunch. Most members carry their children in front carriers, backpacks or jogging strollers, although older children may walk. In addition to hikes, at least one stroller walk is scheduled each month. Other activities include a monthly entertaining or educational Moms Night Out and field trips to museums, zoos, and other fun destinations.
Members enjoy a subscription to the newsletter and unlimited participation in scheduled activities for a $90 annual fee. The newsletter includes our monthly calendar with detailed descriptions and directions for all activities, relevant articles, recipes, restaurant reviews, advertisements and a membership roster to facilitate contacting fellow members. As a member, you’ll also receive discounts on a variety of programs and special events.
Prospective members are encouraged to attend one activity before joining.
