Sparky’s is offering some competition to Barney’s, also located on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland.  Sparky’s serves all-natural, hormeone-free, free-range Niman Ranch beef.  Burgers are served on a toasted bun (wheat buns available) with lettuce, heirloom tomoatoes, sweet red onion and mayo.  In addition to the standard Hamburger ($4.95 or 1/4 lb. or $6.25 for 1/2 lb.) or 1/2 lb.
