FREE CLASS! Parenting without Shaming
Monday, Oct. 6 12-2pm
This shame-free workshop will help parents understand the impact of shame on the self-development of children. You will learn a conceptual model for how shame gets internalized and how it negatively impacts the sense of self and relationships.
We will explore how shame can get passed down from parent to child and what you can do to prevent it. We will explore assumptions about discipline and consider some of the subtle forms of shaming that often go un-noticed. The goals of this workshop are for attendees to gain a deeper understanding of shame and its impact on children, to learn tools to expand your repertoire of responses under stress and to build resilience in yourself and your children. Seating is Limited!
